Deadly Thyme, by RL Nolen
I bought this book after hearing RL Nolan speak at an MWA meeting in Houston. I was intrigued by the book’s beautiful cover and interesting title. I’ve never read British mysteries before, but the creative story line and descriptive passages led me on a tour through a sleepy coastal town, throwing out many red herrings in my path to deter finding out ‘who done it’ too soon in this psychological thriller. I could feel the sea spray from the jagged cliffs and smell the stale ale in the ambiance of the cozy local pub. RL Nolen leaves the reader wondering who’s on first until the very end. A methodical character building thriller.
