For the Love of dogs and Texas!
For the love of dogs and Texas, read Run Dog Run, by Kathleen Kaska. Its a great mystery that begins with subtle hints about an incident in Africa that bleeds into a story of greyhound racing in West Texas. Kate is an independent woman who will not stand for anything less than justice when it comes to the fair treatment of animals or her goddaughter. She aims to discover the truth about a local ranch owner that runs greyhounds at the track. The main characters in this story are warm like the Texas sun, and the reader can feel the workings of the ranch and the people who live there. I love books about Texas and I am an avid dog lover. The best part about enjoying this story is knowing that some of the proceeds go to the greyhound rescue centers. I have bought several copies myself to gift to family and friends. I look forward to more mysteries from this author.
